Data Driving our Mobile Veggie Van!
The Freehold Township Mayor’s Wellness Campaign has continued work with partners and gathering information from the community. The mobile veggie van program is slated to begin later in 2019. While the MWC waits to gain possession of the Township vehicle that will be retrofitted for the program, time has been spent learning the preferences for produce within the community. Surveys were collected from community events, including the closest farmers market to Freehold Township, schools and other community groups. A total of 254 surveys have been collected. A portion of the data collected will help inform what produce is preferred, locations, days of the week and times that would also work for the community to visit the mobile veggie van. The data will be instrumental in the next planning phases and operational structure of the program.
