Growing Resources

The Family Resource Network’s Center on Nutrition and Disability Coalition has been working diligently to design and develop Inclusive Nutritional Standards that will guide providers in ensuring inclusive health practices when providing services. As Stakeholders and Community Partners finalize this resource, The Center would like to share two supplemental resources:
- The Center has launched Frugal Bites Cookbook: Visual Edition. This virtual cookbook  which has been developed using Universal Design for Learning can be downloaded for free by visiting www.nutritionanddisability.org
- The Center collaborated with Hunger Free NJ to host an informative webinar dedicated to the goal of increasing enrollment of individuals with disabilities in New Jersey’s Nutritional Assistance Programs. The webinar titled “Updates on Utilizing Nutrition Assistance Programs in NJ”, provided a deep dive into available nutrition programs for people of all ages that addressed eligibility criteria, the application process, and upcoming application deadlines.
