Manasquan High School is growing by leaps and bounds
The students in the Academy of Health Careers at Manasquan High School hit the ground running this year. We have grown our own seedlings, learned about the importance of healthy soil and what is happening to our soil. The students assembled and planted out seedlings into the tower garden. Our next phase of the grant is to promote the grown your food message to the rest of the school community. We will also be promoting the wellness factors to having alternative seating options in our cafeteria.
Once we are ready to harvest our bounty we will be having a recipe contest where the students will come up with their own recipes that will utilize the produce from our tower garden. Along with tha component of the grant we will be having our own produce stand outside the cafeteria at dismissal for students and faculty to purchase our produce.
