Pennsville Township Walking Path

Well here we go again!  Pennsville Township is pleased to announce New Jersey Healthy Communities Network selected our grant proposal to support plans to construct a walking path.  It will extend over a 1/4 mile and will provide a space where young, old, and those with special needs can come and walk in an area free of any obstacles such as standing water, potholes, etc.   In a time when everyone is worried about the COVID-19 Virus, Pennsville Township was able to make arrangements with a local contractor to give an estimate on the pathway inside the majestic Riverview Beach Park.

We feel fortunate to have such a great company willing to participate in the bid process. He was able to offer several suggestions to all of us involved in the project. Some of them include better access into bathrooms and playground areas.  Keeping cost under control is the number one priority so that we may get the most out of the budget. Because of the size and scope of the path this process will take some time moving forward so hopefully by the next blog we will be passed this critical step.

Thank you, Steve Krough
