Recipe Kits for virtual cooking classes!

Our Virtual wellness programming for Newark Families continues to succeed and grow! At this time we have pivoted from our wellness policy work to address more immediate needs of Newark’s families. Prior to covid our classes were in person and ingredients were included. With virtual classes we realized we needed to address families who did not have the resources to purchases items to participate.  Funding from NJHCN is enabling us to provide families with recipe ingredient kits! Parents pick up their kits at our weekly farmers market prior to the class. The kids loved the butternut squash apple muffins our dietitian taught them how to prepare! In addition to kids cooking classes we have adult and senior programming. All programs are free and open to the anyone. For a class schedule please contact Kerri Likakis at 973-926-7371,
