Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year. The time with your family, the annual traditions, the spectacular meals, and who could forget about the desserts.
Who could pass up the homemade pie that makes its way around the family table! Thanksgiving is also the time that we pay tribute to all of the things that we are
thankful for. Family, good health or fortune, among many other items often top the list. This year, the Healthy Elsinboro committee is thankful for the health and well-being of our community.
Perhaps Thanksgiving, with the many delicious foods, is not the time that nutrition is top of mind. For our community, we are actively beginning our nutritional
assessment. Our nutritional assessment is geared towards understanding the needs of our community. Using our school system, township newsletter, and the web, we aim to gain a great understanding of where our community currently is in regards to nutrition. In our efforts to ensure we are a sustainable community, healthy living
is top of mind.
As we approach this holiday season, from our community to yours, we encourage you to keep active and stay healthy.
