The Fruit of Teamwork
The saying, “Teamwork makes the dream work,” corroborates the collaborative relationship between Generations, Inc. and our community partners involved in the Project Eden initiative.
The Project Eden initiative is a unique community assessment strategy that involves the use of focus groups and surveys to determine knowledge, attitude and behavior about nutrition and physical activity among priority groups in Lindenwold, New Jersey. Engaging community partners in defining and understanding the issues and concerns about healthy eating and physical activity will help to build buy-in and support for Project Eden.
Two of our community partners – Bienestar Pharmacy & Wellness Center and the Center for Family Services Building Bridges Family Success Center provided their unique perspectives on the Lindenwold community. Having community partners has given us deeper insights into the heartbeat of the community.
The fruit of our efforts have produced thought provoking focus group and survey questions that will provide for rich qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Our first focus group is scheduled for August 6 at Harvest House Apartments, a 92-unit low income senior housing facility.
We’re excited that the next phase of Project Eden is underway!
