Walking in Elizabeth End of Year 2
Walking in Elizabeth is proud to be at this point nearing the end of our second year in this grant. We would like to spend some time to give an update of what is happening with our project. This October, we were able to present at Future City’s Estuary Day. The event allows a way to teach and talk to students from all around Elizabeth. We are also in the process of putting together a storymap (pictured above) and an app. These items allow our project to share our findings and assessments from the summer workshops with residents and interested persons.
Since it is the season, the Walking in Elizabeth project would like to thank those that have contributed to its success. Our partners, the Historical Society of Elizabeth New Jersey, The Catherine and Williams Street Block Watch Association, Rutgers University and the city and schools of Elizabeth . The work of our student leaders Lauren, Ana, Karen, Marcus, Sebastian and Tathiana. And finally, the help from NJHCN, our grant coaches and generous funding from SNAP-ED.
Thank you and have a good holiday season.
