Community Discussion: Transportation, Trails, & Parks
On Tuesday, April 6th at 6pm, Trenton Health Team (THT) is partnering with Trenton Cycling Revolution (TCR) to host a Community Discussion around Transportation, Trails, & Parks. The focus area for this discussion is the Trenton Historic Development Collaborative (THDC) neighborhood, a 30-block area of the inner West Ward.
During the event THT will be sharing the results from the walk audit that was conducted in December 2020 and looking to get additional feedback. In particular, THT is is looking for feedback about pedestrian safety and walkability in the neighborhood. The feedback will help supplement the data that was collected during the walk audit and inform project implementation this summer.
In addition to the walk audit feedback, TCR is planning to install a sculptural kiosk along the Delaware & Raritan (D&R) Canal trail with information on routes and trail connections that will also have a fix-it station to provide bike tools to residents. They will solicit ideas on where to locate the kiosk during the event. Isles will also be sharing some of their preliminary findings from the park assessment of four parks in the neighborhood.
The community discussion is open to anyone interested in participating and the link to register can be found here https://trentonhealthteam.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYofuugqzMrE9CgRxshc7Pq2k6l8OnznE-.
