Community Hub Goes Virtual

With COVID-19 changing the lives of our community members, Community Hub has adapted to these changes by going virtual. Our new way of engaging our community is sharing resources through our Facebook page. While it has been challenging reaching our community through social media, we have asked our providers to like and share our Facebook page, Live Healthy Vineland, to help reach the community more. This helped a lot while we are gaining new likes/followers to our page everyday while also getting more interaction with our post as well!

Some of the resources that we are sharing include: Tips on Talking to Children about COVID-19, Daily Activities to do with children while at home, virtual mental health discussion groups, and various other interactive events. Most of our resources are created by our providers, sent to Community Hub, then shared on Live Healthy Vineland’s Facebook page. This new version of Community Hub is very similar to what we would do at our stores, but this allows us to keep safe and help stop the spread of COVID-19, while still providing valuable resources to our community.

Overall, Community Hub has hit a speed bump, but driving smooth now. We are still looking to partner with new providers, which we have by adding Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative to our provider list. While going virtual has been somewhat of an unfamiliar territory, we have found our way to our community members through social media.
