Conclusion of Our Employee Wellness Initiative
As we wind up our classes and workshops, we are looking back at a successful initiative that introduced employees to yoga and mindfulness activities over the past two years. We have begun to partner with a school-based program for students that launched this year, Navigating Success Through Wellness, with the aim of including staff members in activities that support emotional and physical health offered on Professional Development days. In addition, we hope to be able to offer physical activity classes in the future by investigating sources of funding. Our gardens lie dormant right now, but in January we will assign our raised beds to school programs and employees, and hope for an early spring!
We are grateful for the funding that allowed us to offer our employees so many wonderful activities. We’ve taken great strides toward cultivating a healthy school community.
