Fall & Spring Planting in our BGC Garden

Autumn is here! With the help of volunteers from Novo Nordisk, Master Gardeners of Mercer and Department of Agriculture, we had a “Fall Planting Party” on September 19th. In our Boys & Girls Club Outdoor Education Center and Garden, the kids planted fall lettuces and radishes, which included a taste of the radishes. We also planted tulips and daffodil bulbs for a beautiful spring. Kids also participated in a smelling station with mint, lemon balm and rosemary. The kids and volunteers enjoyed planting for the fall and can’t wait to see what the garden looks like in the spring.
