Just Singing in the Rain…

The playground equipment was delivered and installed despite excessive rain and tumultuous weather. Finn’s Mobile Home Park management graciously volunteered to do the excavation and site work with little notice as the construction team we hired changed plans last minute. We’re looking forward to the leveling out the play area and the delivery of 42 cubic yards of wood mulch to complete the job. We have a few volunteers from the Healthy Finn’s group willing to help spread the mulch although the majority of the work will be performed by Finn’s management. 42 cubic yards of mulch is “A LOT” of mulch! Finn’s will use their equipment to disburse the mulch and we couldn’t be happier about that.

Our goal is to have everything in place by next week! How lucky are we, the Healthy Finn’s Group, to have a great working relationship with Finn’s management! We’ve also been so fortunate to collaborate with the Township of Wayne, Atlantic Health System/Chilton Medical Center, the YMCA of Wayne, ShopRite of Little Falls and Wayne, New Jersey Healthy Communities Network and Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

The Healthy Finn’s Group will be forever grateful to Atlantic Health System, as part of the New Jersey Healthy Communities Network, for funding and supporting this project.

Stay tuned for pictures of the finished project!
