Bye bye Spring… See you all in the Fall!

Our Spring Zumba session ended with 48 registered participants. Our co-hort coach Tiffany Neil attended one of our sessions this month and took the time to join the session and dance with us! Each week the first 25 participants that attended the session, received a bag of fruits, vegetables, healthy recipes, and community resources inside each bag. The bags were provided by the Interfaith Food Pantry. The MNH staff distributed surveys for the participants to complete. We reviewed all of the surveys and the participants comments were all very positive. They expressed their appreciation for the program. ” I enjoyed the variety of music played during the class” said Nashema. “Everyone was so friendly and non judgmental” said Julvina. “My family and I enjoy the fruits and vegetables each day for breakfast” stated Mirian. The surveys were distributed on the last session for the participants to complete. We provide surveys to get a better understanding of our participants eating habits and how active they are in their daily lives. The participants children enjoy 30 minutes of outside active play and 30 minutes of classroom time. This program is supported by funding from Atlantic Health System as part of the New Jersey Healthy Communities Network.
