One step at a time – StoryWalk!

We are pleased to announce that a Nosenzo Pond Park has been selected as the site of West Milford’s new StoryWalk. The former CYO property is in the process of being revitalized and repurposed by the Township of West Milford, and the StoryWalk will make a lovely addition for families looking for a safe and well maintained walking path to enjoy this fall. The proposed StoryWalk will lead from the new parking lot, past a pavilion, dog park, and tennis courts, then down a shady forest path. The park is situated within walking distance of three West Milford Township Public Schools, making it the ideal location for young families looking to take an after school stroll together.

The program is supported by funding from Atlantic Health System as part of the New Jersey Healthy Communities Network.

About the Grantee

West Milford Health Department

We are a small local health department located in one of the largest (in land size) municipalities in New Jersey, the rural Northern Passaic County town of West Milford. Environmental health is a high priority for West Milford residents as the Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act charges West Milford residents with protecting the water that supplies much of Northern NJ.
