We have begun the analysis, beginning with assessing the staff’s knowledge of what options are available for individuals with disabilities. The 60-question survey asks committee members, consisting of department leader’s and administrative staff, a multitude of questions, including:
Have you had any training regarding the requirements of the ADA?
Do you know who the designated ADA Coordinator or 504 Coordinator is for Atlantic County?
Are there any areas you know, could use access improvements?
What do you do if you receive a disability related grievance?
Do you know how to establish or post, or where to go to provide effective communication for public meetings?
About the Grantee
Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services houses the Offices of Disability and the county ADA Coordinator. This county office is a division of the department of Human Services.
