Vending Machines – the new healthy option
A large component of any Worksite Wellness program always involves taking a look at the vending machine area. As we all know, vending machines are a “snack trap,” full of chocolate and salty options to curb your hunger. The only problem is, they will keep you full for about 15 minutes! As part of the City of Vineland’s Worksite Wellness initiative, all City buildings and offices are signing a “healthy vending” agreement to encourage more healthy options in all vending machines. This initiative offers employees various snack and meal options that are all considered “healthy” as a way to encourage all to make better choices while at work. This initiative, combined with various drinking water and stair challenges, our City workers are rapidly improving their health!
