Victory Gardens Count

The Victory Garden continues to be a unique space in Audubon and offers free pickings for the community as well as a beautiful place to watch some tee ball or take a break and have lunch. It is just a beautiful transformed space that the entire town can enjoy. Unused space was literally transformed into a garden oasis that produces food and plenty of opportunities to exercise those muscles with planting and clean up or one can just simply relax.

The Francis J. Ward Recreation Center has finally been opened to the public and all the love that has been put into the surrounding grounds is finally being discovered by many more. We will now start pricing and purchasing some additional table to really maximize the outdoor seating.

The strategic planning for the food bank is ready to be addressed again. Some new ideas have been floated and now the search is on for someone to create the strategic plan. We are in the process of setting up a meeting with the local food banks and community outreach groups and are planning to move forward quickly and make this all happen. It is extremely important to finish strong with this particular project as food insecurity is a real problem and any contribution no matter how small matters.
